本大会では、日本の車いすバスケットボール発祥、そして日本パラスポーツの父と呼ばれる中村裕博士の功績を称えるとともに、歴史ある大分県の障がい者スポーツへの取組みを国内外に情報発信をしてまいります。
また次世代の男⼦⽇本代表の競技⼒向上を図るとともに、アジア地域における⾞いすバスケットボールの発展と交流を促進し、参加各国と地域の競技⼒向上、普及を⽬的とする「中村裕杯アジアドリームカップ2023」を開催いたします。
